Ode to the Moon
Ode to the Moon
Luna, Oh wondrous Queen of the Night,
cloaked in silvery light
I seek your presence and your mysteries
Luna, Mistress of Cycle and Season
spiral and circle,
align me to the flow of my own seasons and cycles.
Luna, Lady of the Botanical Realm,
your silvery light drips from leaf, soaking soil.
At your command, seeds release,
soft green roots emerge,
buds bloom in the quiet hours when the world sleeps,
flooding our dreams with perfume.
How powerful you are?
Luna, Seducer of Poets and Lovers,
woven through myth and mind, into memory,
arresting us with your beauty
making us mad with lust and longing.
Luna, Queen of the Seas, Lakes, Streams and Rains,
may we hear your whispers upon our inner oceans.
May we move with the tidal flows of our lives.
Luna, Magnetic Mage,
drawing the great migrations of birds and beasts
of the land, seas and air,
magentise me,
turn your current towards me,
that I may learn your magnetic ways
Luna, Silent Sovereign
When the raucous day expires,
you rise in elegance and silent grace
Bat, moth and owl
sing to your reign.
Luna, Oh Wondrous Queen of the Night,
cloaked in silvery light,
bath me with your presence and your mysteries.
